Download the A-Score app from the App Store or Google Play. Open the app and tap "Sign Up." You can register with your email address or phone number. Follow the verification steps to complete your account setup. The whole process takes less than 2 minutes.
After signing up, check your inbox for a verification email from A-Score. Click the verification link in the email to confirm your account. If you don't see the email, check your spam folder or request a new verification email from the app settings.
A-Score offers seven transaction types: Basic Transaction (simple exchanges), Service Agreement (work for payment), Rental Agreement (temporary use of items), Exchange (trading items), Personal Agreement (custom terms), Estate Planning Notes (inheritance documentation), and Memo (general records). Each type has specific fields optimized for that use case.
When creating a transaction, you'll be prompted to invite the other party. Enter their email address or phone number, or share a unique invite link via text, email, or any messaging app. The other person will receive a notification to join the transaction even if they don't have an A-Score account yet.
A-Score is a digital platform for documenting personal agreements between people. Think of it as a modern record book for loans to friends, shared purchases, handshake deals, and any other informal agreements. Both parties confirm the details, creating a timestamped, immutable record that can be referenced if questions arise later.
Creating a transaction in A-Score is simple: 1) Tap the "+" button on the home screen. 2) Choose your transaction type (Basic, Service, Rental, etc.). 3) Enter the transaction details like amount, description, and due date. 4) Add photos or documents if needed. 5) Invite the other party by email, phone, or share link. 6) Both parties confirm to complete the record.
You can edit transaction details only before the other party confirms. Once both parties have confirmed the transaction, it becomes locked to maintain record integrity and trust. If you need to make changes after confirmation, both parties can agree to cancel the transaction and create a new one with the correct details.
To cancel a transaction: Open the transaction details, tap the "More" menu (three dots), and select "Request Cancellation." If the transaction is still pending (awaiting the other party), it will be cancelled immediately. If already confirmed by both parties, the other party must approve the cancellation request.
If the other party doesn't respond to your transaction invitation, the transaction stays in "Pending" status. You'll receive periodic reminders about pending transactions. After 30 days of no activity, you can cancel the transaction without the other party's approval. This prevents indefinite pending states.
Yes, A-Score supports multi-party transactions for situations like group purchases or shared rentals. You can add additional participants and designate witnesses who can observe and verify the agreement without being direct parties. This is useful for roommate agreements, group loans, or family arrangements.
Draft: You're still creating the transaction. Pending: Waiting for the other party to confirm. Active: Both parties confirmed, transaction is ongoing. Completed: All obligations fulfilled. Cancelled: Transaction was cancelled by agreement. Disputed: A dispute has been filed and is under review.
Your A-Score (0.0-5.0) is calculated based on: completed transactions (positive), account verification level (higher is better), account age (longer history helps), dispute history (losing disputes hurts), response time to invitations, and overall platform activity. Consistently completing transactions successfully increases your A-Score over time.
To increase your A-Score: 1) Complete transactions successfully. 2) Verify your identity with government ID. 3) Maintain a dispute-free record. 4) Respond promptly to transaction invitations. 5) Build a history of positive interactions. 6) Keep your account in good standing. Your A-Score (rated 0.0-5.0) improves gradually with consistent positive behavior.
Achievements are badges you earn for reaching milestones on A-Score. Examples include "First Transaction" (complete your first deal), "Trusted Trader" (10+ successful transactions), "Verified User" (complete identity verification), "Quick Responder" (respond to invites within 24 hours), and more. Achievements display on your profile and help build credibility.
Go to Settings > Verification > Start Verification. You'll need a government-issued ID (driver's license, passport, or state ID) and take a selfie for face matching. The verification is processed by a secure third-party service. Processing typically takes 1-3 business days. Verified users receive a badge and may see increased trust from other users.
Your A-Score is visible to anyone you transact with or invite to a transaction. Your full transaction history is private—others only see your A-Score (0.0-5.0 rating), verification status, and achievements. You control what information is shared through your privacy settings.
To file a dispute: Open the relevant transaction, tap the "More" menu, and select "File Dispute." Describe your issue in detail, select the dispute reason from the list, and upload any supporting evidence (photos, screenshots, messages, receipts). The other party will be notified and given an opportunity to respond before review.
You can submit: photos of items or condition, screenshots of related conversations, receipts and invoices, contracts or written agreements, videos (under 30 seconds), and written statements explaining your position. The more relevant evidence you provide, the better we can evaluate your case. Evidence must be uploaded within 3 days of filing.
Most disputes are resolved within 5-10 business days. The process: 1) You file (Day 1). 2) Other party responds (3 days to submit). 3) Review period (3-5 days). 4) Decision issued. Complex cases may take longer. You'll receive email and in-app notifications at each stage.
Yes, you can appeal within 14 days of the ruling. To appeal: Go to the closed dispute and select "Appeal Decision." Provide new evidence not previously submitted or explain why you believe the decision should be reconsidered. Appeals are reviewed by a senior team member. Only one appeal is allowed per dispute.
Filing a dispute doesn't affect your A-Score—only the outcome matters. If you win the dispute, no negative impact. If you lose, your A-Score may decrease depending on the severity. Fraudulent or frivolous dispute filings can result in larger score penalties and potential account restrictions.
